Dear Mount Holyoke alums,
As part of the College’s commitment to strengthening our digital operations, we are writing to share that in the spring of 2027, the College will be discontinuing alum email and Google accounts hosted through Mount Holyoke. These changes are being made thoughtfully and with care, recognizing how important these services have been to many alums.
If you are currently use an @mtholyoke.edu email address, an @alumnae.mtholyoke.edu forwarding email address, or both. You will continue to have access to these addresses through May 30, 2027. On May 31, 2027, access will be discontinued. Please note that alums who are serving as board members and/or committee chairs for the Alum Association remain eligible for MHC Google accounts for the length of their terms.
At the same time this change is being announced to alums, seniors graduating in 2026 are also being notified that the policy going forward will be that graduates of the College will retain access to Google services for one year after degree conferral.
Please note: no immediate action is required at this moment. This notice is simply to make you aware of this upcoming change to MHC Google services. We will send more communications as the spring 2027 deadline approaches with additional information. In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about this change, including timelines and steps you may wish to take in advance, please visit the LITS website.
As you may know, the College is undergoing a broader technology modernization project that includes a new ecosystem of tools that will simplify how alums can connect and engage with each other and the College. In the coming months, details will be shared about how to claim an account with our Donor and Alum Services Hub (DASH). While you can wait until then for instructions on how to update your contact information in the new system, we encourage those in reunioning classes to log into the directory and make updates by March 13, 2026, to ensure you don’t miss any exciting information.
Mount Holyoke values the many ways alums remain engaged with the College and with one another. As systems and services evolve, our commitment to supporting these meaningful connections remains unchanged.
Sincerely,
David Powicki
